So hard to believe the little monsters are 7 weeks old already! They have had their first visit to the v-e-t and all did great. Now we are getting our little ones ready for their next major step in starting their new lives with their new families. Shelby lost her door priveleges to the PuppyPen, she started pawing under the door and showed them how to go under instead of over, stinker! So her door is gone. The pups are mostly eating on their own anyway, Shelby plays like crazy with them when they come outside every day. The go-home toys were put in the PuppyPen when the pups got home from the vet and they have been having a lot of fun playing with all of them! This group of puppies is really doing a good job of going potty on the 2 wee pads and in their pine shavings, we are so proud of them. So in addition to eating three “meals” a day of kibble with a topper of some sort, they also have kibble available all the time.

The go-home bags are prepped and ready for this coming weekend. Shelby keeps stealing the puppy go-home toys, but we get them back and get them back in with the pups. In typical Shelby fashion, she doesn’t steal just one toy, oh no, she steals two at a time! That’s our girl! Mocha comes out back with the puppies every day, always hoping he can share their lunch. He’s much more patient with the puppies when they still haven’t had lunch than he is when their lunch is already gone.

As is the norm, all the puppies were weighted again and all are still growing! This weeks order is:

Talbot (soon to be Murphy) - 127.5 ounces

Hudson - 118.5 ounces

Bugatti (soon to be Beatrice) - 113 ounces

Tucker (possibly staying Tucker) - 112 ounces

Nash (soon to be Moose) - 84.5 ounces

Next weekend, each pup will get a bath, nail trimming, weighed and a final de-worming before they get their go-home collars put on and then get started on their new lives. We’re spending as much time with them as we can this week.
